What can I do to stop animal cruelty? I don't know if it can be stopped. It isn't fair to animals that they are being abused because they don't fight back. People are getting away with it, just because they get six months in jail and a thousand dollar fine, doesn't mean they won't go back and do it again. People like this doesn't deserve animals. Animals aren't just being beat but they are being starved too. How would the people who call their selves "owners" like to be treated that way, they wouldn't. They think animals doesn't have feelings but they do. They are just like us only the walk on four legs, and have tails.
Eleven years ago we took in a chow, it was clear that he was abused. We named him Lucky. Lucky was scared of my dad for a long time. Every time my dad would carry something into the yard, Lucky would hunch over or hide. Lucky finally came to trust dad, but he is still scared of men. I asked my dad why is it that we always hear about men abusing animals, and he said because they want to hit something that can't fight back.
There has been a lot of cases against pit bull attacks recently. It isn't their faults it is because their owners does it to them. The dogs have to be punished for it because their owners tells them to do it. Pit bulls are just as gentle as any other animal. But with their reputation they get a bad rap. If you tell any animal to bite some one they are going to do it because they don't want to disappoint you.
There was a story on the news the other day about a pit bull biting a little girl because she went into his yard after being told not to. The dogs' name was Sammy. He was tied up. The little girl went up to him and tried to pet him after bing told not to. Sammy bite her finger off. Now Sammy is going to be put to sleep for something that wasn't his fault. All he was trying to do was to protect his yard.
There should be a law to have your animal spayed or neutered. There is so many unwanted animals out there. All people want is cute little puppies or kittens, but they forget that they get big and doesn't want them anymore.It isn't fair for the females to keep having litters and litters of babies. Once the male cats are old enough to start spraying then their owners puts them out and sometimes doesn't let them back in.
So what can I do to stop animals cruelty? I don't know but I am going to keep trying until someone will do something about it. People who does do cruelty to animals should get longer in jail for what they have done. But the cops can't do anything about it unless they catch the person abusing the animals. So they are basically getting away with it. Something should be done about it, because it isn't fair to the animals to be punished when it is their owners doing it all.
