I am going to send this e-mail every week, (or if I have to, everyday!!!) until someone listens to me! I have been married for 22 years to Donald Roeder Jr. We have worked very hard all our lives. Never asking for one single thing! When times were tough we could of found help, but we just tightened our belts and worked harder. Never asked for help when our son had a brain tumor either! Or when he had to raise our grandson on our own.
I am so sick and tired of people campaigning “we need a change”! I just found out this country will never change! The reason is our country helps more people that don’t live here! Or the ones that are illegal. America does not help the ones that are in a crisis right here at home! Just like us! The worst part is people like us helped build this country! With out us hard workers, there wouldn’t be an America!
Now here is what I (not want) need. My husband, worked for a company named Linde gas. He worked at the same place for over 23 years! He work his way up the latter to plant manager. Now mind you, this was his first job, he is only 41. In the mean time he earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and in computer science!
Then here comes Air Gas, they buy his company, told me to my face they would not close my husbands plant! Then less than 2 months, guess what? They just came in one day and closed it! All of his employees were let go. Now that isn’t the biggest problem. My husband has been out of work for over a year. He finally could not just sit here; he is working at a temp job! The pay is far less than his qualifications. So we tightened up, but guess at? We are now about to loose our home. Let alone the fact we have not had any kind of health insurance. The first time in my life I cant have health insurance!
First time in our lives I tried to get some kind of help, I was denied! We have a special needs son, Donald III. (Remember the brain tumor I mentioned) He has to have an oxygen concentrator to live! Then, Just filling out the application started to piss me off, because it was all about immigrants, refugees & Latino. What happened to just your hard working people needing help? Just do one thing for me, go to a welfare clinic, and just look at the ones that get all the help, look at the cars they drive are brand new! I’ve never owned a new car. Look at the gold around their necks. It makes me sick, and I drive a 1994 ford van. It never bothered me so much until I was denied! You know, one of the Americans that worked all their lives, the one that makes it possible for the abusers of the system to get money from the government. Yeah, that’s me!
We had to use all our savings; our retirement and now we no longer have life insurance.So when I hear "we need change" it really goes through me. A change! America has never helped hard working families! They only help lazy people that take advantage of the system! or anybody that comes here comes from another country illegally! Or feeding children in another country!
We worked so hard for so long and America won't help any family. Hell, they won't help any hard working family that lost a job or home! And believe me I'm not the only one, over six hundred thousand people lost their jobs just since January of this year!
What about all of them? No, America bails out big companies, or congressmen who write bad checks. The people running this country don't even know how much a gallon of milk costs! They get vacations every year. Do you think when they are living in that fancy house, eating dinner they ever think of all the families that lost their home and don't have food? No they don't, because life don't touch them. They are not in the real world! What do they care?We have payed into the American system for over 22 years and now that I need help, I can't get it. Why?
Bottom line… Who’s going to help me? I worked all my life for America to turn its back on me? Why?
I need a mortgage bail out! Due to my husband's plant closing! Being how they passed the mortgage bail out for big companies due to mismanagement. Now I just want my bail out! They aren't going to loose their house like I am!
My family needs help! Who can help me?
