This beautiful Earth may wipe out if we don't stop Global Warming. Global warming is the gradual increase in global temperatures caused changes in climate. An Earth may get wiped out with releasing of gases that trap the sun's heat in the Earth's atmosphere. Gases that contribute to global warming include nitrous, carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons and methane. Due to release of many gases especially carbon dioxide a warmer Earth may also lead to rise in sea level, changes in rainfall, and impacts a lot on wildlife, plants and humans. As per the scientists, the main reason behind increasing the Earth's temperature is because of human beings but few scientists are saying that Earth could be getting warmer on its own. Whatever may be the reason!
Can't we stop Global Warming?
Yes! We can stop this by taking real action of climate change, by helping ourselves the best and we can stop this by putting our efforts in always keeping our houses, offices and surroundings clean. If we observe, for the last few years were the WARMEST ever recorded on the Earth due to which Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing and still the trend is continuing.
As per World Health Organization (WHO) there are about 1,54,000 people die every year due to global warming, from Malaria to Malnutrition and these estimated that it could be almost double by 2020.
Can't we make it to one fourth from the above said 1,54,000 people?
Yes! We can do this only when we start thinking about this beautiful earth and implement the same. For example if you take Indonesia being a huge chain of islands and urbanized population of over 200 million people attracting the number of volunteers that put even the country's multitude of islands in to perspective and improved their environment. Now let us imagine we being over 100 Crore population can't we do this?
Across the world many people use dust bins for garbage, but while throwing they simply go and throw near by empty place instead using municipal dust bins and they never think what would be the impact if they throw the garbage wherever they want. Most of us never know the guidelines with concern to keeping our place clean. Dear friends this is the time for us to safeguard the earth and this is possible only when we start thinking about the global warming atleast from now, otherwise we have to scarify our next generation.
So, what are we thinking now let us start working on it right away. As part of my
job I have few suggestions through which we can stop this and those are
- Plant trees - by only doing this we can stop upto 50% of global warming
- Stop using plastic, Save Energy and Water
- Educate students on global warming and its effects
- Make public aware about the global warming
- Replace all incandescent light bulbs in your home and business with compact fluorescent (i.e. twisty bulbs),
Let us see what we can do at our Office
- Switch off monitors, printers, scanners, and fax machine (Save Energy)
- For drinking water use bottles instead of glass
- Save papers by taking prints only when required and by taking prints back to back
- Use handkerchief instead of wasting tissues
