Have Animal Rights Gone too Far?

First of all, animals don't have rights. What some refer to as animal rights, I refer to as man's natural compassion for God's creation. I don't not hurt a dog because it has rights; I don't hurt a dog because I am a compassionate human being.

I find animals and their behaviour to be fascinating. A dogs loyalty and personality can make you laugh and cry. A chimpanzee can astound you with it's level of intellect. A lioness can amaze you with it's maternal protection of it's young. But regardless, it is still an animal, and holds a distant second position in God's order of life, and in natures food chain.

The issue of animal cruelty is a foremost concern among animal activists, and can be a very sensitive issue for some. Some feel that the blame for aggressive behaviour of a dog lies with the owner. I have heard some say that if your dog bites your friend unprovoked, you, in some way, must have mistreated the dog and caused this behaviour. Well, whoever made that statement needs to pick it up with a pooper scooper and put it in a plastic bag, because it's a pile of you-know-what! Animals are animals and are unpredictable. If you blame your dog's behaviour on it's owner, then your dog owns you.

The issue of animal rights has gone way too far. There are actually people out there who would save an animals life before saving a humans life. If thats you, then you need to check what your species you are, because that is animal behaviour itself.

As I said, I do love and appreciate the animal kingdom that God has created. But if he wanted them to rule the earth, then "Old Yeller" would have been president.

While we should show love for any of God's creations, humans are still the ultimate rulers of the earth. Domesticated animals are her for our enjoyment and companionship. Wild animals are here for our nourishment, if need be. And because I am not a vegetarian; it need be!

If you think you owe your dog the right to be catered to, the next time you take him for a walk and pick up his droppings, ask him to lift the toilet seat and then flush it for you when your done. See what happens!

Animals deserve love. It's humans who deserve rights! Get your species straight!
