In 2004 I predicted to the Pew Foundation that Online Education would account for 60% of education by 2014
That was before One Laptop per Child and the MIT consortium of free online education in the most popular subjects.
Economy
The world economy will double by 2010 0r 2012.
This will happen because of the synergy of the Internet, Technology, Globalization and the re-emergence of Social Capitalism. That is when a corporation, business, government thinks of the members of their organization as members of their extended family.
Women & Children
I have a theory that all human violence is rooted in Domestic Violence. Like weeds you must pull them up by the roots because cutting the top just causes them to spread. And yet only 60 countries were able to report statistics on this issue to the UN
Wealth Generation
Wealth is much more than the accumulation of money. It is education, attitude, conservation, and the ability to appreciate greatness in others.

China will account for 35% of the growth of the world economy and India will account for 40% but Africa will only account for 15% unless they get rid of dictators and thugs who are robbing the people of education and sharing the natural resources.
If Africa can not provide proper security why would people want to invest capital if it would be stolen or destroyed as soon as it was built? Africa will be lucky to account for 10% of the economic growth because of the high level of corruption and the total lack of public education.
LG is working on a system that will allow people to tune in Television and other multi-media productions, enabling many remote areas to get connected to the world. Entertainment in one form or the other will account for 50% of the growth of the economy. More consumers with more diversity create more demand.
Oil From Sand will add 20% to economic growth but not nearly as much as the emergence of alternative energies, conservation and that adoption of new and improved housing,
proper sewage, clean water, and desalination of the ocean water to provide water to locations that will run out. At the same time it will save our beautiful islands that will disappear unless we start pumping water from the Oceans to compensate for the melting icebergs.
The extreme views of Religions, Political Organizations, and single issue radicals will be stopped by the increased optimism of the wealth and entertainment opportunities. Industries will begin to Cooperate and learn from one another. Companies like IBM, Google, Microsoft, and countless others will enable geographically diverse people to socialize collaborate and yet maintain Intellectual Property rights. Law enforcement will begin to cooperate internationally to help eliminate industrial warfare that in the end causes far more grief than individuals without technology were able to do 30 years ago.
Asia will form a union similar to the USA & EU and Business will trump government, Religion, Politics, Hatred, and many other negatives. Make money not war. Education plus Prosperity = World Peace. Do not confuse personal Peace which calls for self discipline and self awareness and World Peace which is about the smooth function of organizations, cooperation, tolerance, and good will.
