This is a call to pray for the American and coalition soldiers who have dedicated their time and possible life fighting in a war that they did not declared on their own. Even if President Bush made a mistake to call a war that was not necessary, that is OK. He is human and is entitled to make mistakes, learned from them, and moved on but the fact that these soldiers do not have a choice but to follow orders. Besides, we may never fully understand the motives why the President made the decision for war. We as citizens and residents of the Unites States must take an absolute stand to pray for the protection of these soldiers regardless of what the motives are for war. Too many of them already lost their lives. We have to pray for divine protection, the kind of protection that comes from GOD.
The idea is to adopt a soldier by name and pray for that individual continuously. Pray for that soldier every day. My idea is that no soldier should spend more than six months in any foreign land but that may not be a reality for them. Besides, I cannot tell the President what to do. Some of them already spent a year on foreign soil. They are taken away from their families, friends, and loved ones. They also need a time to enjoy themselves by going to the beach, to the bowling ally, to a football game, etc. but they are not having those choices. The only choice they can make is preparing to die especially on foreign soil when engaged in battle.
If you know a soldier or has a friend who has a family member abroad engaged in battle, take that soldier's name and make his name sacred to you. Pray for that person. If you don't know one but would like to take on the challenge, visit the military offices and request a soldier's name to pray for him or her. Pray for them in such a way that when they are on a mission and have to cross a path that is trapped with bombs planted in the ground, it failed to go off. And, if a mission in on the road where there is an ambush trap, they would take the wrong path by mistake and save their lives. That is the kind of divine intervention you want around them where God supernatural favor is drawn around them.
Pray for my soldier is a call for protection on their lives.
