Many parents always stress and put "pressure" on their kids and themselves about high water bills. Leaving the sprinklers on, small loads of laundry, hour long showers, etc., it all adds up on the bill. These are some super-easy ways to save the planet's water, and your cash.
- When you're in the shower, put the hot and cold water on medium pressure. If you want the water warmer, turn down the cold water. If you want the water cooler, turn down the warm water.
- Leave a timer on when using the sprinkler. Doing this will tell you when to turn the sprinkler off, and not leave it running.
- Whenever you do laundry, combine smaller loads into larger loads of laundry. This will mean fewer loads, which means less water used.
- When hand-washing dishes, fill up the sink with water and add the soap. Wash your dishes in that water. This will limit the amount of water you use to wash your dishes.
