Save the Whales

Whales keep dying every day. It's not enough to just agree that it's terrible.

Every year thousands of whales die and you are responsible. No, not the Japanese or the Koreans, you are responsible. You are not only sitting in your couch doing nothing, it's even worse. Did you ever let up a balloon as a kid? What do you think happens when it lands in the sea? It then gets mistaken for a jellyfish and oops one whale less. Flipper choked on your balloon.

Water pollution kills millions of sea creatures. Think of it like the air would be polluted, as the water is the sea creatures their air. What if all of a sudden smog was everywhere every day? Think of the millions of people who would die and then you can grasp what we are doing to the sea.

Noise pollution by ships is not something to laugh about. Think of your noisy neighbour and the times you cursed when you were having some quiet time and they were loud. Now that's what we're doing to the see, thunder day in day out.

Whales tangled in nets is a common cause of death. Imagine massive spider webs everywhere. When you get stuck in one, you die. You can hardly see them but they are deadly like hell. You're surrounded and sooner or later it will kill you or wound you. Whales need air so when they are stuck in the nets, unlike fish they are suffocating. Imagine living like a fly day in day out. That's what we do to the whales.

Whaling still happens. No one knows really knows why. Studies showed that there is no need for the whale meat or any other product of the whale. This means that it's a simple fact of people who don't have any other job, they have a boat they invested in and they need profit. This can be prevented if there is enough political force behind it.

Although very drastic and not always right, greenpeace is there when something like this happens. Their organization is well known and they have the power to change things.

Save the Whales is a very friendly site that is also aimed at children as this problem could take more than one generation to solve.

This is a commercial website with some shocking videos. They use the American method to persuade people. Visual imagery and celebrities should people lead to the right path.

A bit cruel, but so is the reality behind all of this. Can this article cause miracles? I think not. But if it gets through to some people, it might just make a difference.

keep up the good work.

Heartbreaking but very true, sadly it seems every aspect of modern human life is extreamly detrimental to other species.
As our population expands, other species suffer. :(

Your right, we are all responsible and should try to do something about this.
