A cleaner tomorrow? Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The necessary process needed to preserve our world. If we could just take a moment to look at how we can dramatically change the way our living conditions, because the changes we make now will only improve living conditions for the children that follow. Even though some people recycle, the numbers of people that do it are too small.
I think that if all people were aware of recycling, then we could live in a cleaner world with no pollution and diseases. Imagine if one person recycles one piece of paper, that won't be much of significance. But if millions of people recycled even a scrap of paper, that's one million times more than a single person can do in a year. So, if we all pitched in, imagine how much tons of paper can be reused.
Even though during the process of recycling, toxic chemicals are released as a byproduct. However, the amounts of toxic chemicals emitted are small to none, during the process of recycling. This is true because, when it comes to recycling, there is no combining of items just the reformation of the old item born again.
If more people recycled, we would be saving energy by reducing the need to extract and process "virgin" raw materials to manufacture new products, reducing pollution, stimulating the development of greener technologies, and finally reducing greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide.
Recycling spurs the need greener technologies. This will help save major resources like electricity, but, the main things is it will cause the decrease in need for coal.
By reducing the need to extract and process our natural resources, we can help save trees which absorbs carbon dioxide, so there are less greenhouse gazes depleting the ozone layer. Also this can help save resources from being overused because the next time we need them again, they haven't had enough time to grow back.
If more people were to recycle, there would be less pollution, because less items will made in factories and more will be recycled. Thus, having less gazes floating around in our air space, and less chance of things like acid rain.
The one that really makes a big impact on the environment is the reducing numbers if green house gazes on the atmosphere. This will greatly affect our living conditions, because these gazes will eventually trap the heat coming from the sun, as a result, there are rises in temperature. The ice caps are melting in Antarctica and green land already, we don't need our oceans to dry up as well.
If more people were to know about recycling, no more trees will have to be cut down, fewer gazes are emitted, and there will be less need for environmental damaging energy sources like coal. Keeping the three R's in mind will lead to a new way of living for everybody, and it's also good for us.
