- Use recycled paper; recycled paper uses ½ the energy to make a notebook from recycled paper than from trees. The U.S. recycles enough paper to save about 350 million tree per year.
- Buying locally saves gas because on average food in the U.S. travels 1,500 miles-halfway across the country. Buying locally also helps strengthen the community.
- When you turn OFF the television computer or any other electronic that uses a plug, the device is still using up to 15% of their electricity. So plug in some silent power suckers into power strips so that you can switch off when not in use.
