Break your routine
Why not wake up on the other side of the bed for a change? It is the monotonous things that we do where we find much boredom. So go ahead, sleep on the part of the bed you don't usually sleep on. If you used to wear pajamas, why not go naked? Change is good especially if it doesn't hurt to try it once in a while.
Go green tea
If you are a coffee drinker, perhaps it is time to try a different morning drink. Green tea has a significant amount of antioxidants and less caffeine than coffee.
Do something you love-alone
Read a book, watch a movie, or experiment with a new recipe. Spending some quality time by your lonesome not only helps in clearing your mind, but also keeps you relaxed.
Talk with someone
Grab that phone and start a chat with somebody you haven't talked with for a long time. It can be a friend, your sister, or even your neighbor. It helps both ways: reminds people that they are important to you and it also helps you to re-connect with people who matters in your life.
Buy yourself a gift
Treat yourself to anything you've been wanting to have for quite some time. It doesn't need to be expensive. If you've been longing to try that newly opened restaurant near your place, go and eat there. Perhaps you would want to have a new set of cd's to listen to. Or if you are living alone, maybe a new friend is what you need, let's say a puppy or a kitten. Indulge yourself once in a while.
Play
Buy a new video game and play it till your thumbs hurt. Play a round of basketball or badminton with your friends. Or if you have a dog or a cat, pet them.
Happiness is within our reach. Sometimes all we have to do is make a little change here and a little change there for our daily lives to be a little bit more worth living and exciting.
