We never know the future, even if we try to make it our own. We take the path less traveled sometimes, and other times, play it safe, and we travel the path where everyone has chosen to walk. We have experiences that allow us to grow, both bad and good. We experience the shame we feel at times due to our behavior which seems completely involuntary sometimes as we do and say things we don't really realize until it's too late. We lose friends, we speak of hate and with a liars tongue, and some of us, learn after losing it all, that it helped us to grow at other's painful expenses, or we continue on and never learn but speak as if we have.
We approach people with accusations and with spite. We speak drama, even if we don't think we are. There is no way to escape drama truly, but there is a way to live life not letting that drama fill you up so that it makes you just as bad as those who haven't grown up yet. 15, 39, 42, 70...there's no age that suddenly makes it all go away. It takes self acknowledgment of what we are, as humans, our faults, and our weaknesses, to see that life is nothing more than a day by day survival of the fittest.
Love doesn't always last, but hopefully you make friendships along the way. Friendships don't last forever, because as we change, some stay the same, and we realize there's nothing left for us. They made us happy, they made us laugh, and we got through really hard times together. Yet, now, it seems miles apart, like light years ago that any of it happened. a picture is just a sign of how things change and the world always moves around, not stopping for our mistakes and our times where we just don't know what we want, and wish we could freeze time.
I am so excited to see people that are truly on the right path, it seems, and making every moment count. Jamestown is a town of hypocrites, liars, cheats, drama queens and kings, and it is all one can do to leave their home and escape it. People will always gossip about you, because they are lacking a piece in their life which allows them to accept others as they are. It's sad, but true. Just remember hopefully as you walk out the door every morning, that you are better than all that. You are bigger than this stifling town.
