One of life lessons is learning how to count your blessing. You do not have to be rich nor poor to learn this lesson of life. All we got to do is look around us every day. The simplest of things can be a blessing, from winning the lotto to a flower that blossomed after a days rain.
A lot of people nowadays take these things for granted and never realize the simple pleasures of life. These people just step on the blessings like a bug and only see the negatives of life. I’ve been guilty a time or two but I always stop myself and look at the positives in life. If I don’t, I’ll certainly go crazy.
A good example is kids, sure they can be a major pain with school, practices, etc.. and then coming home getting into everything and crying or complaining about everything. We only see the negatives and get headaches from all of that. We don’t stop and take a good look at them. We, as parent, have to look at their good attributes. It could just be how pretty their smile is or as big as their good grades or not getting into trouble.
Why shouldn’t we stop every once in a while and count all of our little blessings or pleasures in life. Even if it’s just coming home to a candy bar every day. So take a moment and think of all the good things in your life.
