Bravery and Courage

Real courage means being able to admit your mistakes and accepting the full consequence of what comes after them.

When we hear the word “bravery or courage”, what's the 1st thing that comes to mind? Soldiers at war? A lot of times we think of it in terms of physical strength or sort of heroic deeds. Yet..

Real courage means being able to admit your mistakes and accepting the full consequence of what comes after them, plus taking full responsibility for your words, actions and deeds.

Real bravery means accepting and acknowledging your limitations and a willingness to constantly work on it and seek improvement.

Real courage means being honest with others and “just be yourself” amid all the world of superficiality.

Real bravery means standing up and speaking out for what you believe is the right thing and if need be , to fight for it.

Real courage means not being afraid to take risk and having the heart to stand up after a rough stumble.

A lot of them out there thought by “being loud, yelling at people and being controlling is the epitome of courage. That's just not so. By doing so, they're actually exposing their own weakness without even realizing it. On the other hand, those who turn the other cheek and walk away from provocations are considered the “cowards”. Don't be swayed into it. Remember it's just a society label and nothing more. After all courage also includes being able to forgive and let-go.

An afterthought : Real courage and bravery means learning to love and respect yourself.
