I'll make it nice and simple. You get one good thing out of cheating, but you get three bad things out of it. I'm not a mathematician, and I'm certainly not a calculus teacher, but isn't three greater than one?
The only good thing that you get out of cheating is that you accomplished whatever it is that you wanted to accomplish. Whether it is beating a game, or passing a test, you accomplished it.
There are, however, three bad things that you get out of cheating :
- Whatever consequence you get when you get caught.
- The knowledge that you cheated.
- The knowledge that you could've prevented the consequence by not cheating.
