We all have experienced these feelings of liking someone but fearing rejection. You know the feeling of seeing the person you like and having your heart beat fast and at that moment everything seems to be all right. The common symptoms of a crush are constantly thinking about the person you like, getting fidgety, nervousness, not making eye contact with the person you like, and everytime you see them it makes your day. There are other signs of crushes. Wishing that the person you have a crush on will make the first move and say something to you.
The beginning of a crush seems to be fun because all you do is think about that person that you saw for an instant and you felt a connection. This connection makes you wonder more about the person and it is intriguing. The worst part is when you want to go and talk to the person you have the crush on. It's weird because you can be outgoing with people who you don't crush on but when you are near the person you secretly like it is as if a switch goes on and you seem to not function as you normal do. Your charisma and charm seem to automatically go off and you begin to act differently because of the fear of what the person you like might think of you.
There comes a time during a crush when you reach a critical point of deciding what to do. Do you tell the person that you like them? Or do you keep the secret of the crush for the rest of your life and not tell your crush the feelings that you have? Both of these choices have their pros and cons. By telling the crush you like them you are getting a big weight off of your shoulders. But you are placing yourself right in front of the train tracks of rejection and we all know that rejection hurts. When it comes to dealing with crushes there is a 50/50 chance of getting rejected or not. If you do get rejected, take it as a life lesson and move on. Don't dwell on it because that person was just not right for you. Chances are that just as you had a crush on someone, someone else had a crush on you also and you might have missed out on the signs because you had your eyes set on only one person.
