Farewell Parties

Farewell parties surpass beyond the level of facade emotions.

Farewell parties are often times a  façade of emotional moments for those who will be left behind and for the departing colleague. Working together all year round from eight to ten hours for five or six days a week, it is inevitable to get attach with colleagues.

Farewell occasions are usually a gesture of tribute for the things that your departing colleague has contributed in the organizations. It is a time also we express our thanks for their support while we wish them the best and all the luck for in their next endeavor.

However farewell parties surpass beyond the level of façade emotions. As a departing colleague, it is an opportunity to gauge your relationship with your colleagues and your boss. It can be a reflection of how you are as a person towards your colleagues. Are they sad or celebrating that you are leaving? What's the impact of your resignation in your colleagues and boss? Or are you a monster boss and your transfer means an end of staffs' miserable life?

You can also gauge your value as an employee in your organization. Are you an indispensable staff? Or is it your post that is indispensable? Does your company suffer after you left? Are they having difficulty to facilitating the day-to-day work because of your absence?

It is a fact in life that we cannot please everyone. There will be for sure some who are happy with your transfer for they perceive it as an opportunity for promotion.

Whatever emotions wrap in your farewell party, make sure to reflect. Consider it a moment to pause and refresh before journeying another chapter of your life.

Very nice Milesy!!!

My thoughts on farewell parties....I would say for most people they would say life keeps moving and so do you and that makes us keep leaving all the dirty clothings and clean as well behind , considering its now part of the past. So throw the past into the bin creating vacancy for a new you! " Is it so easy to leave people who held significant part of our life?.. A pragmatic thought indeed and I will say of course, its better u move on and that is what my split thoughts also says as emotions also stand somewhere.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE ON YOUR BLOG!! SUPER!
