Five Simple Tricks You Can Use to Get Free Stuff

Read these five tricks to learn how you can take advantage of everyday situations.

  1. See Free Movies

This is a flawless way of seeing movies in the theatres for free. Make sure you have a group of 3 or more people, but make sure that only two people buy tickets. Have these two people go into the theatre early to “hold seats”. Then have one of them come out of the theatre with both ticket stubs and then give one of the stubs to one of the non-paying movie goers. Then with stubs in hand you can walk right past the ticket checker and enjoy your movie for free. You can repeat this operation for as many people as you like. This scam is especially useful for movies that are sold out, as only two people need to buy tickets.
  2. Speak Up

Most companies are so worried about satisfying customers that they will regularly give things away for free if you are willing to hassle them enough. This technique works especially well at fast food restaurants, and smaller food outlets. When you receive your food claim that you specifically asked for no mayo, or onion rings instead of fries. The sales clerk will certainly direct you to their manger who at this point will be worried not only about your business but also the business of everyone else watching your disturbance. They will have no choice but to shut you up and give you what you want, usually allowing you to keep your improperly prepared chow. Once you learn to speak up you will find it amazing the results you can obtain in almost any retail situation.
  3. Free IPod Upgrade

First you need to buy an IPod, make sure that it is either a model that has been around for a while, or one that you know is going to be replaced soon. Also make sure to purchase some kind of warranty for the IPod in which free replacement under manufacturer's defects is a condition. Then wait until your model of IPod has been replaced, for instance when the IPod Nano replaced the Mini. Then all you need to do is drop your IPod on the ground, or get it wet, or do something to it so that it doesn't work properly anymore. Then call on your warranty. Apple will either try to fix your IPod, or more likely than not they will just give you a new IPod, and since your model is not produced anymore, they will be forced to upgrade you. The beauty of this scam is that for Apple to figure out what is wrong with it, see if it is covered under warranty, and then try and fix it, it would take a lot more time and money than it does to just give you a new IPod. They simply write it off.
  4. Send a Letter For Free

This one is so simple it's stupid. The next time you send a letter but don't want to pay for postage just skip the stamp and put the return address as your letter's intended destination. When the postal service realizes that there is no stamp they will “return” your letter right to its intended target
  5. Get Free Pizza

Next time you order a pizza but don't feel like paying just do the following. First make sure you order from a place with a 30 minuets or it's free guarantee. Then make sure to place the order on a cell phone, this is because most pizza places ask you for your phone number and can track your address from that. Then instead of ordering it to you own address, order it to an address that sounds like your address. For example instead of 145 Main St. order it to 149 Main St. Then when your pizza doesn't arrive in the guaranteed 30 minuets, place a call to the pizza place correcting their mistake. Be sure to sound upset and very hungry. Then when your pizza does arrive remind the delivery guy of your situation and enjoy your free pizza.

I have actually tried the Pizza one and it does work, the only problem is that you probably shouldn't try it too often as they will get wise to you scam. This is the same for all the rest of the article. They are just fun to do once in a while.

I can guarantee that the iPod one won't work as I work for Apple. Even though I'm not a Genius Technician, I can easily check to see if the iPod has been damaged in any way by the consumer. There's always a point of impact if you drop it, and there's a water damage sensor that can easily be inspected using a simple tool that all stores have. Also, the AppleCare does not cover accidental breakage (only manufacturer defects), and they DO replace your old iPod with the exact same version you had before. Why? Because Apple keeps around all products for 5 years after it's discontinued so if it needs to be repaired or replaced, they'll do it. They NEVER just give you a new iPod without inspecting it thoroughly. If you bring it into the store, the trained technicians inspect everything (and they've seen it all), and they do this hundreds of times a day for iPods (I make the appointments, I know). If you call AppleCare, you'll have to send it in and they'll inspect it also. The only time you'd ever get a brand new one would be if it was less than 14 days old and it was malfunctioning. Even then Geniuses have to inspect it before the return process is handled. Pulling one over on Apple is difficult if not impossible. They're a huge company with a lot of resources at their disposal.
