They say that forgiving someone for something they've done to you, can seem like the hardest thing in this world to do. As I take this known fact into consideration, and look at our society I'm going to have to agree. I mean we stay so focused on what happened to us yesterday that we forget about what's going on today. We miss what's important.
I'm not saying that we should forget about the bad things, but that we should go on and live our life, because life is too short to have the bad things constantly on our minds. We have to remember that this is a test and forgiveness determines whether we pass or fail. Our lord forgives us for every sin we make if we pray, so why can't we embrace the bad and learn from it, rather than let it get the best of us? Why can't we do the same and forgive the people that do wrong by us? Then maybe our world would be a better place for the next generation to grow up in.
Just close your eyes and imagine a world where everyone forgave, it would be a place without hate and revenge. People would not want revenge for what happened yesterday, so there would be no murder, and a lot less pain and agony. We would have a more peaceful place to wake up to. Everyone would say “I forgive you” rather than, “I hate you!” Now when you open your eyes you see that our world is nothing close to that. I'm not saying that every single person in this world will allow themselves to forgive, but wouldn't it help to start with yourself?
I know it's hard, but when you think about the happiness because of this, it makes it all worth while. I just want people to be able to enjoy the short time we have on earth and just by one person reading this,that's one more person that will see what I saw, fell what I felt, and forgive like I forgave.
