Reflect and Learn
Rewind the events that lead to the failure. Contemplate the cause.
Going back in time for the moment is the first step of the healing process. Analyze and ask yourself what the cause was and why it suddenly went wrong. Learn the lesson well and embed it in your memory.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,… they shall not overflow you.” (Isaiah 43:2)
Express Yourself
Pour out your emotions. Cry, shout or confide in a friend. Empty yourself of anger and bitterness. Let it all out then dry your eyes. Building it up inside is not good for the health.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)
“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” (Psalm37:24)
Forgive and Forget
Forgive yourself by accepting the fact that life's cycle has its ebbs and lows, ups and down, victories and losses. Futile fretting can not turn back time to undo the past. Negative feelings can create pessimism but a positive one can build optimism. Count your blessings not regrets. Unchain the binds and set yourself free. Let go and never look back.
“No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back is fit for the Kingdom of god.” (Psalm37:24)
Refresh
Have some quiet moments. Go to somewhere peaceful where you could commune with God and nature. Take a deep breath. Relax and loosen up those taut nerves. Rejuvenate your body, soul and spirit.
“Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6:31)
“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts and be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15)

Start Anew
Live in the present. Begin by asking God for guidance and blessing. Discipline yourself to courage and perseverance. Be strong.
Focus on the task ahead. You can do it!
“It is the Lord's blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer.” (Proverbs 10:22)
“Look straight ahead with honest confidence, don't hang your head in shame. Plan carefully what you do and whatever you do will turn out right.” (Proverbs 4:25-26)
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power.” (2Timothy 1:7)
