So, I have created my own relaxation system using no new-fangled binaural beats, or isochronic waves. Just know, that I have only ever tried this on myself, and do not know if it will work on others. Hopefully, it will. Well, here it is:
Sit back or lay down into a comfortable position. (When sitting, try to get your hands on your lap, and by your side when laying back.)
Close your eyes, and just sit there for a moment.
Inhale deeply through your nostrils with abdominal breathing. Breath in as deeply as you can, and hold.
Now, exhale through your mouth and repeat in your mind "Relax, relax" slowly.
Once you have no air left, force a bit more out, and repeat.
Soon, you should feel lightly-moderately relaxed. Now, just imagine your body and focus on one part and tell it to relax until it is so relaxed, that you don't even feel light moving it. Move on until you relax each body part, and there you have it! You're nice and relaxed.
When you want to get back to a normal state, I have found it useful to "count up" from five to one and say “Wide Awake.”
Know that this is just one way to have it done. You can change it to make it fit you and your situation as much as you want, as long as it still works. I still am unsure how effective my technique is, so if you read my article, please try it and comment so as to make it better for those others who read it.
P.S. You will need to set some time alone with no, and I mean NO distractions for this to work best.
Well, What are you waiting for? Start and get relaxed now!
