Imagine you were awakened in the middle of the night by a lottery agent, he tells you that the ticket you purchased the evening before was a “predestined winner”. The ticket was guaranteed to win at least two hundred million dollars. All you have to do is live through the next day to collect your winnings…You fall back asleep; waking several hours later with an uneasy feeling of antipathy towards the day ahead. Stubbing your toe on the nightstand as you get out of bed; you recall the ‘night visitor’. You smile as you curse aloud the throbbing pain in your toe; just the thought of the possibilities of two hundred million dollars made the throbbing pain a minor discomfort… The first thing that comes to your mind is “was that a dream?” From this point on through the day many trivial upsetting occurrences arise; you:
A). Let the bad happenstances of the day overwhelm you with ‘bad vibes’.
B). (My personal favorite) during every bad thing through the day find the time to remember that @ some time through the night you were told that you were getting two hundred million dollars.
The next morning you wake up with the exact same life you had the day before minus the ‘night visitor’, and the two hundred million dollars, or the stubbed toe…As you near the crossroads of the morning do you:
A).Be bitter about the upcoming day’s events, and upset because the ‘night visitor’ was obviously some sort of dream vandal.
B).(My personal favorite), Smile because your toe doesn’t hurt.
