Whenever we talk about love or when the topic ‘Love' is mentioned, the first thought that usually comes to people's mind were the care they were showered with by their other partner, or the so called ‘boyfriend' and ‘girlfriend'. However, have they ever noticed that they were also loved by their loved ones, their family and friends? Love exists in different kind of forms, such as parental love for their children and friendship love between close friends. These kinds of love gradually grow as time passes, with feelings for each other deepened.
Parental love is a kind of feeling for their children by the parents, which never cease to exist in the world. Because of love, parents may do anything, or even sacrifice, to help or protect their children. Love, allow parents to tolerate all the mischievousness and misbehaviour of their children, allow parents to put their children before them and anything else. Here is one short story about parental love for their children.
A new life was borne, welcoming him were the big smiles on Jonathon's parents. Time was taken to teach him how to walk, how to talk, and how to do many other things the proper way by his parents. Although they were very strict with him, Jonathon knew that his parents meant well. As he grew up, he became more rebellious and started hanging out with bad companies and picked up some of the bad vices such as smoking and consuming of drugs. When Jonathon's parents got to know that he was addicted to drugs, he was sent to the rehabilitation centre straight away. Jonathon was also taken to court for taking banned drugs, and his clean record was stained. Despite knowing the fact that his record would be stained, why did his parents still want to have him arrested?
This is because Jonathon's parents loved him so much that they did not want to see their child had his future completely ruined by drugs. They would rather have him arrested now than to let him continue to destroy his own life when turning over a new leaf is too late. From this story, we know that all that our parents do has our interest at heart. They may seem nasty to us on the surface, but if we look deeper into it, we will know that their love for us has never change. This is the fact that applies to most of us.
Besides parents, friends play an important part in our life. Care and concern are shown to us, especially by close friends who are hard to come by. Friendship love between close friends is built up gradually, but can also be destroyed overnight. A true friend is someone who will stand by you whenever you are feeling down, lend you a listening ear when you feel like sharing your woes, and giving you advices when you are lost. The love between friends can be vulnerable and the time spent with friends should be treasured.
Love, is something we cannot live without, is something where true feelings are being put in. Therefore, treasure the things before your eyes, treasure the people around you.
