You were born, isn't that enough? Out of the ridiculous amount of galaxies in the entire universe you were lucky enough to end up on the one planet that had life. That in itself is amazing. And if that weren't enough...on this planet to be born one sperm amongst millions has to hit an egg at the right time to make a baby. If you're reading this, guess what? You were the winner! Fantastic! So you came out a screaming ugly goo covered baby and somehow got to where you are now. You haven't been hit by a bus yet either! Or if you have, you seem to have survived!
So where does that get you? That gets you here. Here is where you are a maturing human being amongst all the other "winners". You have just as many opportunities. If you weren't lucky enough to be born monetarily rich then your family and you, yourself has probably had to work for everything you have. You shouldn't be bitter about it. You have the same opportunity as everyone else to discover the important things. The important things are the things you enjoy doing, the company you keep, the things that you might be able to accomplish if you could just stop being so damned bitter about so many things. The way you look, the color of your hair or skin, your height, your need to work for money, the way such and such at whatever place treats you like you aren't even alive is almost entirely superceded by the simple fact that you were born…if you really consider it.
By being born the one thing you can count on being given is yourself, your own internal voice that speaks to you and tells you about YOU. Other than that no one owes you shit. Not money, not a free education, not a handout or up, not compliments, not even the simple acknowledgement of your presence is owed to you. Not even the acknowledgement of your presence by the government is really guaranteed. They too could forget you if they wanted to. You know that don't you?
