If you are shy than these are a few suggestions for you that have helped a few people. Start out by going out a little more. It doesn't mean going to a bar, start by going anywhere, a mall, park, gym, where ever. Smile at least at one person and say hi and always say hi to people. It sounds dumb but over time it will raise your confidence and soon you will have plenty of friends from doing this and you will probably feel better. So go ahead and try it.
