With anything in life, if you want to master something, practice really does make perfect.
Maybe you see others around you who are doing something you really want to do, but they are executing it with poise and excellence. Do you sit back and think to yourself you can't do it; or do you simply step up to the plate and start practicing? By the laws of nature, there are of course some things that one simply cannot do as well as another person due to physical limitations.
A man that is 200 lbs will be able to physically lift more than a woman who is his same age but weighs only a mere 100 lbs. But, with such details aside, you still can do anything you want to do you simply need to do the work that it takes to accomplish those tasks.
Even pro basketball players hit the court daily to freshen up on their dribbling, their foot work and even their free throw shots. They play professional basketball and yet they are still practicing everyday, knowing that they need to in order to keep their skills competitive and up to par with the competition. This is what you need to do with any field you decide to venture into.
If you are a sales person, practice your sales pitch over and over until you can repeat it without even having to think twice about it. If you are a model workout at least 3-5 times a week, eat healthy and take care of yourself.
Keeping healthy habits takes practice and sometimes trial and error, but once your get into a flow, you will be able to accomplish anything you set your mind to, anything.
While you are setting your habits and practicing the necessary things you need to in order to excel at your craft or career, you must make sure that you surround yourself with positive people who support you. Do not let anyone hold you down. They are where they are at in life for a reason. They need to learn something more in life that you have already learned.
It is my sincere belief that we are all on a spiritual journey, sort to speak, and through this journey we must align ourselves with people who are on the same path or similar path to continue to grow, challenge ourselves, and live the fullest life possible.
When we align ourselves with those who are not on the same level we will begin to feel the difference. We will feel like we have less energy. We will feel stuck and experience a disrupted state of peace of mind. When this happens it is up to you to work up the courage, strength, belief and self respect for yourself to pull away from whoever or whatever situation is hurting you rather than helping you.
It is up to you. No one else can do it for you. This takes practice as well. Do not beat yourself up for making mistakes from time to time. We are all human. We are all learning something new everyday. Instead, grow from your experiences. Try harder tomorrow. Practice for and envision the life of your dreams and it will naturally unfold before your eyes.
