Self-disappointments may involve holding on to something in the past. You need to admit this to yourself, seek forgiveness and move on. We need to learn to let go of our own mistakes, hurts and failures whether caused by ourselves or by others to release the pain and let it go.
Do not allow yourself to fall into the cycle of self pity. The past is just that, the past. It can't physically hurt you, so why let it hurt you mentally and emotionally? God wants to take your pain and turn it into blessings. He wants you to have an abundance of good things. Don't let your disappointments and regrets destroy the love and hopes God has in store for you today and tomorrow!
