Scream If You Want To

Do something different to deal with your daily doses of stress. which may just help you in the long run.

People don't scream enough anymore. We all must be on our best behavior, at work, at play, day in, day out. Get over it, there is too much stress, on a daily basis, in life. When things get on your nerves, what would be better than a good old fashioned, roof raising scream? This is so therapeutic, for your mind and body. It's like a cleansing, from the depths of your lungs. Your entire body will feel the effects.

We go through our days, enduring intolerances, both large and small, from friend and foe. The build-up is is not healthy, in the long run, most of the time, we don't even realize the damage we are doing to our systems. Until we have a check-up, and the doctor gives us some unpleasant news, stress in moderation is alright, but none of us have stress meters. So we go along, thinking all is well, when it really is not.

Now let's be clear, let's not go around, screaming at everybody, and about everything, all over the place. That should not be the plan, but a weekly scream session, somewhere that you would be the only audience, if you have a family, you have to make them aware of your self-saving time.

It is delicious, your innards are stimulated, your brain cells rejuvenated, your intestinal fortitude, gets reinforced. It's like a warrior's charge forward. Now, you can opt to have a silent scream session, but it is much better to have the sound effect. You need this, it is a freeing force, a total releasing of stress.

If you plan a scream time, you will be able to handle drama much better. Things that used to tick you off, will become much less important, because, you know your scream time, is just around the corner. Make the appointment with yourself, and keep it, this is important, it is a disciplinary tactic. Your body and mind, will look forward, to your special time. Your scream time should probably be scheduled at home, so that afterwards, you can run a nice, scented bubble-bath, with candles, a nice glass of wine, and soft music. Life is very hectic, and you must be, a step in front of the craziness, so pampering yourself, after your scream session is a must, and an effective way to keep yourself above the fray. You will be able to handle things, on your own terms.

Try it, schedule a rip roaring scream time, for yourself. It's exhilarating, and it ramps up your level of endurance. It is a method of saying, “I'm in charge, I dictate the terms. This will become an effective, part of my survival kit, and I will use it fully.” Have fun. Stay in touch and let me know how it goes, if you do start to schedule your scream time. Your system will be better for it. Take care.

If I did that, I would not be able to talk after. I used to yell at the kids when they had messed up big time, then I couldn't talk afterwards. They'd love it. lol. Crying is also a good release, and so is writing. I can yell in writing! I live so close to my neighbors, that I would probably have the cops knocking at the door. You are right, we need to vent and not internalize. It is so unhealthy. Enjoy your scream fest. I enjoyed reading about it. lol

...Hi IC and Judy. Thank you both,
it is a bit different, but good therapy.
Judy, you can do it silently, if you wish,
also, modify your scream, scream from the
stomach, so to speak, you are shouting from
your throat, thereby hurting your larynx.
Also, try it in your car, by yourself.
Take care guys.
