Not too long ago, I sparked up a highly intriguing conversation about,"kramer and his lose tongue." Some found it to be offensive, rude, extremly racist etc. But to me, It was a learning experience that went past just your average conversation.
You see people fail to appreciate the difference between the color barriers that we lie inbetween. Some see it as offensive if they are talked about in a "negative light." While on the other side, some are finding themselves tickled by the fact that we all can be depicted apart from eachother just by a simple phrase, action or characteristics.
I found that during my previous debate(Kramer, an undercover clans man!;go ahead and read about, and comment the same sappy bull everyone else sent about how crazy i am for being honest!) people were getting things a bit confused; I noticed that most people don't really know the difference between racism and prejudice. They relate both of those in the catagory of racism.
So I wish to break this down for everyone who uses the term but aren't too familiar with them.(Word of advice, Never speak before you analyze the structure of your speech.)
Racism and prejudice actually define themselves. There isn't any subliminal messages, nothing to try to figure out. They are as plain as night and day.Racism-a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.(hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.)Prejudice-any preconceived opinion or feeling, either favorable or unfavorable.
Simple, basic and pure. So consider Kramer to be a racist, along with President Bush, George Washington and all those other superheads who like to feel superior just for personal comfort.Oh and if it makes you feel any better, include Malcom X.
EVERYONE who breaths and has a pulse, is prejudice. EVERYONE has a prejudice bone in their body. You can deny it if you want to but thats the real deal. Theres no getting around it and any real person would understand the fact that even if you tried to not pre judge someone, your brain wouldn't allow you to do it. It's part of our mental make-up. We sum up others in comparison to ourselves. Thats where all that other bull crap come into play;you know, self-esteem,insecurities,feeling inferior or superior.
I take it we don't understand that fine line? I don't understand how you can actually lie to yourself. Theres no way possible to convince yourself anything other than the truth. YOU know when you are prejudging something or someone, whether it be good or bad.
"Some women," find themselves intimidated when standing next to a black Man. It's more or less the older generation but they still exist. The fear of that black man running off with her gucci stitched (fakely stiiched) handbag. If you ask me you might want to be focused more on trying to survive your work day because going to the office eeeeveryday and not knowing who might shoot the ceiling fans down, just because they lost their job is something more troubling than losing a few dollars.
I want you to understand where I'm going with this. One side of the color barrier is" Crazy" and the other side is Just "Dangerous".You decide which is which.
Now wasn't that judgemental of me?---- Not really, Because I base all of my answers and beliefs on the physical. If my eyes can't and don't see it, I don't believe in it. (with the exception of GOD). I'm not a racist, I'm a realist. I prejudge everyone that comes in contact with me. Not always in a bad way; I feed off of your vibe. We can all tell when someone isn't coming off in a manner that would allow us to become open in anyway with that person. Some of us are smart enough to smell whats rotten and decide not to eat it, others are so easily influenced that they indulge all of it at once, and find themselves worse off than before they ate it.
If you don't prejudge, you won't have any expectations. With no expectations, there is no excitement, no let downs and nothing to look forward to. We live in a world where truth is harder to except and reciprocate.
So what is was the point of this post?
We all are grown, everything doesn't have to be spelled out for you all the time. I think eventually we are going to give up our right to think on our own. I mean hell, we can't do the smallest things like sweep. We go and buy a device that does it for you.
I figure things are as plain as black and white and as simple as night and day.
Learn how to read in between the lines, become one with those lines and you will always be neutral, instead of trying to seperate the barriers of color.
