You must take action now if you are to accomplish your goals—and not just senseless action.
It must be purposeful action—action that is meaningful and getting you closer to the realization of your goals.
Human beings, are very much by our nature, creatures of neurotic habit.
You have a report to do, sitting right in front of you on your desk, and you spend several minutes sharpening pencils, organizing your drawer, sipping your coffee, and getting comfortable in your seat.
The report, however, is collecting dust. Enough of the nonsense. Write the report.
We tend to get overwhelmed by the multitude of tasks set down before us. Prioritize.
Prioritize. That is key. First realistically decide what has to be done now, and set everything else aside.
Now, out of the pressing items on your to-do list don’t succumb to the all-too-common instinct; to do what’s easiest first.
Do the hardest and most time consuming tasks first. You will feel the weight of the world lift from your shoulders as you get those worrisome tasks completed.
Make a habit of this, and not only will you become a much better worker, but your overall life will improve in all areas: home, health, social, emotional, financial, etc.
With the stress that comes from worry and a feeling of being overwhelmed alleviated from your life, you will know a freedom that you’ve not known since childhood.
Face your fear. Take action, and accomplish your goals in an orderly, prioritized fashion and success and emotional freedom will be yours.
