Virtual Reality

Can we change past? Yes its possible. In my virtual reality model you can get rid of your bad experiences by modifying your past experiences.

By humans' natural pursue to continuously strive to discover unknown, one thought always ponder my mind to understand value of past. It could mean different things to different people. My interest is to measure past. By past, I mean every thing related to my life and before my existence.

If it could be possible like it was in DÉJÀ VU, a blockbuster movie, to go into the past and change the things to make your present as desirable as you want, my task would have been easy. I know it's not possible at least now and in near future. However; an interesting concept of virtual reality will give me some clue to understand past a little better. The past is like a story. You may call it a fiction. It is fiction because it is recorded in your point of view. The story could be different in different context and in different opinions. Now let me assume that my entire story carries some value to me in my present. The question for which I am seeking an answer is by how much my present value will be changed if I change some part of my story.

Measuring The Past

The time value of past is zero or very closed to zero. When I look back into my past it does not take be 30 years to think back 30 years of my past life. It takes me a fraction of second to recall every thing from my first memory to date. For examples if I recall my four years of college life in hostel, it will take me into all of my memories in a flash, a fraction of fraction of a second. However; there is some monitory value my past brings me in terms of my professional worth.

Have you ever realized that you are in dream when you are actually in dream? It happened to me some times. When I realize that I am in a dream, I feel free to modify my actions in the dream. And suddenly I see myself flying and doing stuffs which can not be imagined in out of dream life. Looking at this lets look again at my previous hypothesis that is all past experiences are basically a story, a fiction. Now assuming my past a fiction, I can assume it to be a virtual thing like a dream. And if it is a dream, do I still have freedom to modify my actions in my virtual reality?

It is possible. Believe me it is possible. In fact it is such a powerful tool to get rid of all your bad memories. Try this. Think of one of your most embarrassing experience from your past. Imagine the whole story is being played on a big screen and you are watching it alone. Now think out your thoughts on your actions in the story, you have imagined to be different to avoid the embarrassment in the incident or to make out some other output. Do it on your virtual screen and watch the changing outcome. Now you have changed your virtual past. Come out of virtual screen. You are now a new person with different past experiences and positive confidence.

All of us have some or other bitter experiences. It could be some of you related with your profession, family, business or society. It could be feeling of failure or rejection. Think past as virtual and change it to at least gain some confidence in the present.

We can also derive another corollary from above concept. Can we modify all our present actions to get desired outcome in present, near future or in long term by assuming every thing around us are virtual. Think of that, it's possible.
