Colors and Their affects

Did you know that colors are so important? Believe it or not, they dictate almost everything we do! Take a look to see what I am talking about...

Colors have a surprisingly great effect in the business world. Because of their effects, colors can affect the way you are treated; in a way such that gray clothing would people take you more serious. When applied to a product, sales goes up when colors are strategically placed, making them more attractive. Strangely, hidden messages can be distributed to people when seeing signs or logos. Many different shades of colors do different meanings and interpretations, so it is important to be careful what ones you use.

Although maybe not so noticeable, colors do affect how people treat you. Shades of red draw attention to ones self, and can be distracting. Likewise, yellow and orange draw attention, but instead they tend to make someone look cheerful. Blue is a calm and excepting color, and like brown, gray, and black, symbolize stability, and are always taken seriously. Volatile colors such as green, which when added with blue are calming, and with yellow are almost sickening, and should not be worn unless a desired affect is to be applied. The choice in what to wear is important in the business world.

Products using the color theory might have a higher selling rate when painted a color attractive to the buyer. A popular color for automobiles is red, because it is one of the first colors we see, and people might want to show it off. Since yellow is another color we see almost immediately, it is good for clothes and items of cautions. Being that blue and green are relaxing colors, furniture might seem more welcoming and comfortable. Besides being useful in how people react to you, color aids in the sales of products when applied right.

Even though the affect on products from color has the greatest affect, logos and signs could benefit by being more noticeable, and can even get a hidden message to possible customers. The color orange in large amounts represents “cheap”, and can attract people as lowly priced, or sometimes as cheaply made, and should be used with caution. People strategically paint signs and billboards red or yellow are visible, and will use them on signs to draw attention. Likewise, blue is used as to say that the company is reliable, but is often interpreted as boring. Because of the psychological affects caused by colors, signs and billboards can benefit by using hidden messages.

In the business world, color is a strong aid in becoming successful. It is important to remember the affects caused by colors when picking clothes. Since psychological affects are released by colors, products can sell better if applied right. Likely, signs and billboards could get desired affects to attract customers. Aiding in business is a great benefit, and even a powerful strategy in sales.
