Childhood Harassment

Children facing the brutality of life due to their unwritten and undetermined fate.

Believe me, angels can be seen on earth. Little creatures as innocent as angels, as fragile as stuffed toys, as lovable as God, as cheerful as jingle bells and as honest as truth are none other than children. God has blessed the childhood as the purest form of humanity and the gloomiest period of ones life. But how the cruel and insane world meets them is not different from the fairy tales of princess caught by huge scary dragons. In these tales a prince comes to flee the princess but in real world all the childhood is spent in waiting for the winds that would bring the clouds, acting as prince to flee them from trouble of life.

Childhood harassment is very common is Asia. Child abuse and rape is common culture of many poor as well as many elite groups of society. Child labor is another name for child harassment. No sooner ,does the little infants learn to walk and talk, the bed rhymes turn into rattling sounds of the real world., alarming them the reality of the world in which they live. Just in few days dreamy nights turn into wreckage. Small creatures are ready to bear the burden of life. Due to poverty in many third world countries where large population live in slums, parents send their children to labor merely in age of four or less than it. In age of schooling they face the dearth of the world as their first learning institution and people behaving awkwardly as their first mentors. Apart from carrying bags they spread out their little hands for few pennies to be gifted for their poverty. Inspire of singing rhymes they learn to sing the poverty slogans.

Many traumatized parents, make them their salves, slaughter their body parts so that they may become pitiable enough to be begged well. In fact they keep on giving birth to their children so that they can produce more labors on the streets. Many of them are sold out to others as exchange of debts. Many become the nannies of ones who are supposed to be their friends. Bare footed they keep on walking on the roads facing the blazing sun in scorching summers and sizzling winds in freezing winters. Many of them apart from being fed with fruits and sweets collect the leftovers from dumps and debris to be fed.

Such kinds of harassments create insecurity in the child which makes them suffer from many physical and mental problems. Many of them dejected from every day life become dacoits. The neglected environments they face turn them into extremist. The feel no fear to use weapons and even do suicide bombings because they realize that they have no place in the world. Adultery and drug abuse is a common bussiness among them.

Child labor is the curse for the world. In the area in which big superpowers of the world are focusing towards extremism and their putting utmost efforts to end in equality, no attention is being paid to terminate such roots. It is the need of the time that concerns should be brought to end poverty, gender inequality, childhood labor hood and illiteracy from the developing countries especially third world countries. All such factors groom extremism. All international agencies must pay special attention to them because all children have equal rights all over the world, high above the differences of creed and races. United Nations must take powerful steps to abolish child labor from world.

It is only possible through collaborative efforts that a Santa clause might come and ring the jingle bells in their lives.
