Gun Control

If only we had a choice.

With all the crime and deaths surrounding this country its no wonder people are looking for answers and ways to prevent it. One of the most talked about topic is gun control. While many believe if guns were taken away and harsher laws would be put on this place will better. I, On the other hand beg to differ.

I Believe that this country is the best but some people in it are ..not! Taking away guns is not the because If you take them away we would have limited means of protection.

Taking away guns is a dumb idea for many reasons:

Number one if you take away guns and put laws them, the only people you will be taking them away from are the responsible people. The people who have guns and kill with them are CRIMINALS. They do not care what the law says (obviously) and wouldn’t start cause a law says not to. you might just say well if we take away the guns there will be no way for them to get a hold of them ... wrong! drugs arnt legal but there are still plenty of ways to get a hold of those so guns wont be any different

Number two Gun control laws will make it more dangerous for lawful citizens. A criminal could just come into your house and know you don’t have a gun and take you for everything your worth if not only that they could also kill you.

Not only is this a stupid idea but a dangerous one and anyone that doesnt agree post and we'll debate

Well, Sara, you are right about the criminal part. Anyone with a gun is a potential criminal.

And you have real good results too with gun proliferation. How many people are killed out of "protection"?

Americans fear so much, they almost die from fear? And these people, scared citizens, you will give guns? ehr...wake up and smell the coffee ;)

well, sara, I totally agree with you. The way i see it is the only reason that criminals havent overrun the country is because so many americains own guns an a willing to defend themselves if the situation calls for it ( it rarely does) anyone who owns a gun is not a poteintial criminal. most criminails have a severe lack of conscientious or a severe psycological problem if society was doing its job instead of complaining then there wouldnt be so many criminals. even though there has been an increase in crime over the last 200 years that doesnt give the goverment the right to take away any part of the freedoms that made this country what it is today. This country was founded by doers not winers. i believe that if there was an increase in the ownership of guns among citizens then the crime rate would drop.

do I assume then that the man in texas is a hero in your eyes for shooting two men in the back as they were running away from him? Both said to be unarmed! I think the answer is yes, so could it be assumed then that any time someone is doing something wrong you now have the right to be a vigilante and kill who ever at any time.Since that is not considered a crime it would surely lower the crime rates, well maybe not the reality but who cares so long as you can kill the bad guy and be a hero right? No need for prisons then look at all the tax money that could be saved and used for attacking and killing people in other nations who do not aggree with your way of thinking!.

It comes down to common sense. If arming for self-protection worked, the US would be the safest country in the world - and I can assure you that it is not. The american gun lobby like you makes up
up stats but it you cannot handle the thought that this truth might just export a dangerous and perhaps contagious notion: that gun control saves lives.
