I have heard many people even in this day and age putting down people who are in interracial marriages. I look at it this way, we are all human and we should be able to love who we want without fear of persecution. Why is race even an issue? I believe it is only an issue because people have made it one.
Hate crimes are a horrible tragedy in this country.There are many forms of hate crimes, crimes committed and motivated by any bias or prejudice is a hate crime.
With organizations like the Ku Klux Klan and several neo-Nazi hate mongering groups encouraging heinous acts of violence, hate crimes in America have grown exponentially.
Even subtle or non-blatant prejudice is still equally prejudice.
It's like when a person tells a lie and they say "oh it's just a little white lie"
but before they know it they are lying more and more till it becomes pathological,
Hate is the same way, the more it is fed the more it festers and grows, hate, in any form is wrong, whether it is blatant or subtle.
We are all family, because we are all human, do not hate your fellow human beings for any reason.
Hate breeds hate, but Love can overcome anything.
