You may be happy going places with no fear. You may go to the same places all of the time. Sometimes you may go by yourself and sometimes with company. The city or town you live in may be a peaceful place. Maybe you don't have to worry about much crime.
Sometimes crime happens in the places that you would least expect. The crime may happen right after you leave the place. You may turn on the television and find that it was your best friend or a family member that was robbed and killed.
There was a man that pleaded to a first degree murder in a death of a woman. The woman was rapped and killed and was a mother of some children. The man decided to plead guilty in court and admitted that he murdered the woman. So now he will spend his time in jail. The man will probably get out in a few years and be free.
I think about those poor little children that will miss their mother that was killed. They will not be free on the inside. They will probably feel locked away in hurt and pain missing their mother. No matter what happens to that murderer, nothing can bring their mother back.
We ought to love the Ten Commandments of God. God is a good God. He told us not to kill. God knew that there would be murder. So many people don't listen to God, and we go on hurting ourselves and each other. Then some of us have the nerve to blame God. Others are innocent, have done no harm to anyone, and evil comes their way.
Jesus prayed for us living today. He said in St. John 17:15 , “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. (16) They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”
I pray that God will help those children that are missing their mother. I pray to God that he will help them live on and make it through their pain. I pray that they will all make it to heaven and be together again one day.
