Why can death be unfair? I learned that the unfair way. When i was 7 years old my sister died. She was a 10 year old, and she was incredibly beautiful. You never really think about stuff like this until it happens to you. I always took her for granted, I would get in fights and it wasn't the best.
It was a nice summer day, and my mother was at work. I was at my house and my friend called, and wanted to hang out in the park. At this time i lived on a private drive. Well my sister was going to take a bath and I got my Pokemon cards, at this time this is when they were incredibly popular. And I told her I was going out.
Well she said okay and went into the bathroom. I left and went to the park and me and my friends hung out for about 30 minutes. And we saw smoke, and my friend said something might be going on, and i was thinking it was a barbecue, so i shrugged it off. About 5 minutes later one of my friends went to check it out and came back and said there was a fire.
At this point I was hoping to god that it wasn't my house. And we ran over and guess what, it was. Well there was tons of police cars and one firetruck there. And my sister was rushed out on a trolley. By this point my mom got home and took me to her friends house. Later she called and we went to the hospital.
We waited in the room outside the emergency room, about 30 minutes of waiting my mom came out. And she sat down next to me. I was young and naive and didn't know any better. So i asked my mom when my sister was coming home. She didn't answer for about a minute, and she told me the most heartbreaking news ever. She said she wasn't coming home, when she said that I didn't know what to think. I probably didn't talk for about 2 days.
So when you think you have nothing to live for, and have family you better be careful, because death can be cruel. I lost my sister that day, and people wonder why i stay inside alot of the time. I used to be an incredibly active kid. But when that happened i just tried to shut the world out so i couldn't get hurt anymore.
So be careful because something that bad could happen to you.
