How to Recover From the Death of a Son

Years ago my mother lost her 20 year old son in a car accident. That incident frames her life forever. She didn’t want to continue living, she lock herself in a box full of sadness.

But one day she started thinking that if she speak the good things my brother did for her when he was alive, she will stop being sad and instead be happy. Here is what my mom did to overcome her sadness:

  • Do not lock the door to your heart
  • Speak to people about him but about the good things he did in his live
  • Remembered everything he loved to do
  • Don't ask god why, because there is not answer to that
  • Speak to people that experienced the same lost
  • Sometimes when you speak to people that experienced the same situation this will help you to overcome the pain
  • This, my mom told me, helped her to overcome every single pain; she believed this will help you too
