Death is a doorway to another life, and the dying person, reluctantly release their spirit, to take up new residence in a different dimension, it is a permanent separation from this life, and death is an event that every person must prepare to face one day.
People die young, and people die old, age has very little to do with dying, it is just part of the unending process, that we all eventually must come to terms with, it would seemed from all indications, that God puts a time limit upon each individual person, some people live long and healthy lives, while others are plague with troubles and suffering.
Death can be seen as a form of capital punishment, for culprits that do things wrong, and it acts like a deterrent, keeping the fear of God over mankind, in the path of his law and order, death is like a victory serenade swallowing up whole life and taking away from earth great wealth, position, power and purpose, leaving the spirit to find energy in the eternal state.
Death comes as a foreign uninvited stranger, and bears a terrible shock to the human system, with disturbing news to rip apart our normal day to day life, the prospect of death is much like lawful bankruptcy of annihilation, which steals our soul and place it in the waiting lounge of purgatory.
This uninvited displeasure of painful surrender, is not something that we are used to, mankind hates pain, suffering was not part of our original make up, somehow we inherited what belongs to another age of disobedience, we much prefer for everything to be perfect, just as it were in the Garden of Eden, and we often find to our detriment, that we will ignore the little warning signs and rules which restrict bodily movements.
The very thought of death, draws nearer to us than we really want to acknowledge, its not an entertaining topic for discussion, rather it's a painful reminder of our future eternal state, death never really accrue to us until the moment the sting of departing is almost upon us, and then we are laid out sprawled in helpless disposition.
I read somewhere in a book dealing with the troubled Corinthian Christians, that the sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is law, but I never fully understood what that meant, only I am assured that death is the result of sin directly and indirectly, and it would seemed from all indications, that it is an hereditary trait fallen to all mankind.
Death is a barrier to further enjoyment of life, cutting off strong ties, abandoning healthy people in their prime, leaving families bathing in tearful remorse, most of the time this event comes with severe traumatisation, the inevitable shock in discovering, and coping with the painful healing wounds.
The dangers of death we can not freely ignore as we like, even though we try to prolong its appointment, by taking medications and practicing healthy clean living, it is appointed to man to die once, and after that comes the judgment, but even after the shock of finding out what illness we are suffering from, the diagnosed gives no leverage for escape.
And most of the time, we are painfully aware that the person is going to die pretty soon, and there is nothing we can do about it, but to sit and comfort the dying, all indications of sorrow will drown the place and light conversation is needed to give some relief and extend happiness.
The mind closes down when death accrues, we are apprehensive where we would love to see miracles, incurable conditions are pitiful, desecrating body tissues that eventually would cripple our loving existence, and restrict our mobile movements, the resulting condition is devastating, and the condition is brought on quickly by diminishing level of oxygen which is vitally important.
In hospitals, we see people from all walks of life, strung up alarmingly to different drips, and perturbing intravenous tubes sticking out of used veins, anxiety threatening with proficiency and retreating blood pumping back and forth, dashing up and down in haste and rising to heights of survival but slowly descending to solitary calamity. When the will to fight has ceased the quickening footsteps of death gathers pace to claim its awaiting victim.
During the last moment of death, life minimizes amusement, and the things that were much admired in earlier years, their enjoyment and pleasure slowly drifts away, until there is no appetite to tastefully enjoy its gratification, happiness seemed forever lost to a graphic galley of hopelessness, and pain continues to weakens the body until it is unable to find resistance and extra strength, the emotions respond in the only way it knows by complaints and the fear of failure.
Near death experience brings fear with alarming embarrassment, some people would like to die in a humble fashion, others just don't care, take it as it comes, family members will have to share the embarrassment, and still there are others who fear what people might think, death brings fear of losing a persons identity and independence, the murky path to oblivion becomes even more blurred, every sense of responsibility begins to escape into all different direction.
Death is irreconcilable to life only by the resurrection and judgment, where we will all have to face the things we have done in life, and answer to sins omission , we will not escape the judgment seat of Christ, every person will stand before a righteous creator to give an account of there existence.
Death is awkward and sulky, bringing our life to electrifying conclusion, invoking regeneration, to brilliant inspiring rebirth in another world, surrounded by spiritual force without human bodies, death ruins the whole body, with creative maverick and predictability , the omen comes in risky unusual happenings to mostly all mankind, and all must surrender, and give way to the legendary aggressive approach, which leaves no room for doubt, insecurity sting with adrenalin, which takes the body to a dull unimpressed numbness, residing in the haven of safer harbour .
Death captures countless atrocities, conquering war hero, martyrs roll is lengthy, along with thoughtless suicides, natural and unnatural death captures mankind's imagination, and add spike to daily lives, there are unimaginable murders, and secret head hunters coning the land, countless butchery clinics of abortions.
Teenager life snuffed out with knife crime before it has had a chance to reach its zenith, they will never get the chance to reach maturity, or to even study the affairs of history, in death there is no fantastic fun, just massive endless absorbing elimination.
But in the future, God will wipe away all sorrows and tears, death will be vanquished and mankind will gaze upon a new day without pain. Revelation twenty one gives mankind a new beginning.
The grace is a reminder of life after death, but by our faith in Jesus, we can claim victory in this little uncomfortable world, and shout while passing through, O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Corinthians 15:55
