Halloween: Not Just a Holiday

The economic impacts of Halloween.

Everyone can remember the days of being a child, the school, the holidays and the free candy at Halloween. What most people don't think about is, the economic impact.

The candy industry and some others benefit greatly from this holiday, and many others. With the current downslump of the US economy, many companies are turning belly up. With Halloween and Valentine's day, the candy industry gets a much needed boost to sales. This in turn helps pump money throughout the economy by giving the government more income though taxes.

The next time you want to be a penny pincher and not participate, think about the economics and more importantly, the children. We all love seeing delight our a child's face, and melts the heart of the strongest of us. So please, participate in holidays and help the economy.
