Living on Low Income

Is it possible that poor people can make ends meet? Not without help

How can a person making under seven dollars make ends meet when they have kids. They need to buy food, pay bills, etc… They just can't do it. More money is going out than coming in. When you only make like three hundred and fifty dollars every two weeks, it doesn't cut it. A lot of people “make to much” for getting anymore help than they are already getting. You can't get food stamps because you do have a job. You have to quit your job in order to apply for food stamps.

Money doesn't come in soon enough for getting anything that you need if you out either. Especially if you run low on food. Forget breakfast or lunch you only have enough food to get by with if you only cook supper. That is pitiful. This only comes at a time when you can get no help from family or friends and one or both parents are having trouble finding jobs.

How can we help people in this situation? Some are proud that they are embarrassed by the fact of being poor. How can these people see the light at the end of the tunnel?
