D.A.R.E.

The topics we discussed in D.A.R.E. were, smoking/tobacco.

Some facts we learned about it is about how many 8th grades have smoked in the last 30 days, health facts, and other facts about tobacco. Marijuana. Some facts I learned about marijuana are that it is illegal to everyone no matter age, and what it can do to you. Alcohol. Some facts I learned about alcohol are how many 8th grades have had a drink in the last 30 days, you have to be 21 to drink, and important health facts. Peer pressure (p.p.). Some facts I learned about peer pressure are there are 5 types heavy/bulling, friendly, teasing, indirect/tempting, and positive. Ways to say no. Some ways I learned to say no are just saying “NO”, changing the subject, giving a reason, or fact keep repeating (skipping CD), use humor, or make up an excuse.

The D.A.R.E. program represents how to stay drug, and alcohol free without violence. D.A.R.E. stands for Drug, Abuse, Resistance, Education.

It is important to stay drug, and alcohol free, because you could get addicted to it. Than your body wants it so you will buy it which adds up to be tons of money. They are very bad for you, and can get you into serous trouble.

How I feel about the D.A.R.E. program is that it is interesting, and I like it. It taught me facts about drugs, and alcohol I didn't know, and ways to say no that will help me in the future stay drug, and alcohol free, and say no if someone asks me if I want to try them.
