When I have finished, you will also agree with this.
Firstly, people who were in extension class in one year and are not in the next can really bring their self-esteem down. People like this could be jealous of others, thus bringing their confidence down even more. We go to school not only for academic achievements, but also to raise our self-confidence.
Secondly, people in the extension class may look down on other students. There are many students in other classes that deserve to be in the extension class, but are not. This is an unfair disadvantage to all those students who deserve to be in an extension class.
Finally, extension class students are based on data retrieved from tests, so these students may not work well together or make friends. School is not only for education, it is also for socializing and making friends.
Once again, I restate my argument that Albany Junior High School should not have extension class. So now do you want your child in an extension or accelerate class?
