Well today is a sad day for the world of those acquainted with the famous animal expert Steve Irwin who died today ,having being killed by a stingray whilst doing a documentary ,I believe "Queensland" on the Australian coast don’t hold me to that , I am saying it as am being told , and personally for me as am sure for hundreds of thousands of you who were acquainted with Steve Irwin and his work in the research for the preservation for wild animals, I believe the old crocodile was one his most favorite animals, maybe am wrong, am a novice trying to relay my personal thoughts about this man who I personally respected greatly, many an interesting hour I spent with this, charming sincere and caring person ,not in his actual company ,but watching him on TV, he certainly made you feel you where there, where he showed his character and had people glued to there seats, some even cringing behind them, amazed at this great mans courage, he gave his life for the greater good of endangered species, this is the ultimate sacrifice, what more can you do in a lifetime, not only dedicate your life, but actually give your life in the search of knowledge that has helped and will help Scientists and researchers alike ,his work with snakes enabled the gathering and invention of serums that has and will saved many a life in the years to come.
This is my own personal dedication to this fantastic, interesting family man who enthralled millions with his tenacity, skill and true grit, so very much a hands on guy, he did not sit back and let others take risks, to me it looked as if he himself took the biggest risks. I could write all day about my personal respect for this guy, to some intent and purpose, I myself have learned allot about animals from him.
How do you follow that, well my personal views are that the gift of knowledge is a great possession, in the right hands, Steve Irwin had the right hands, and the heart to go with it. And so as students of his teaching, surely the best thing we can do for this man who stands tall in our lives is to use his teaching to achieve the goals that he was trying to achieve, his life was dedicated to preservation, therefore we can say thanks Steve by taking a leaf out of his book and doing our bit to help finish what he started.
And its not the size of the act that matters, its the intent in your heart .One small step for man ,one great leap for mankind., I personally feel a deep void has been created by he sad loss of this gentleman, my hearts and am sure I speak for the many millions who have watched him over the years ,in what I have said, he will be sadly missed, and our thoughts are also today with the family and friends and everybody affected by Steve Irwin’s death. May he rest in peace.
I personally have to agree with all that this guy wrote ,and to add my support to his feelings thoughts and respect for Steve Irwin. So to the writer, well done and a personal thanks from me to you for voicing my feelings so elequently.Cheers Micheal
