I believe that teachers are typical human beings who need to feel they belong. Maslow's hierarchy of need states that an individual ha social needs and one is that of sense of belongingness. A person grows personally and professionally, and socialization and relationships play essential roles in this aspect. In my own point of view, it might not be salient that teacher do have relationships among their colleagues as family members but I believe that this kind of harmonious relationships occur amidst a lot of difficulties in adjusting to each other's differences.
However, I also believe that these conflicts do not totally ruin a person's teaching career but rather strengthen his grasp on the profession and perceive them as challenges for gaining strength as well as for improvement. Not everyone may agree with me but I surmise that relationships are not all about conflicts alone, they also bring about positive impacts on a person not limited to teachers only but in general. Filipinos are culturally relational and family- oriented people so it is not hard to believe that it also applies even in the corporate world, thus among teachers and their colleagues. To end, Filipinos have this obscure unity and harmony which if are dominant would greatly remedy the country's fiscal adversities, political, and social conflicts as well.
