The Urban Latino and Entertainment

Miami nightlife is still growing strong,with a fantastic music venues; reggae is particularly strong, elaborate elements salsa, merengue, hip hop, house, rap, jazz, and R&B.

Reggaeton for years was sold with very limited distribution is the biggest genre now, the past year alone has pushed the genre into mainstream with much less vulgar lyrics and a variety of distribution deals with major distributors. Reggaeton is hot and appeals to many ethnicities, age groups and has a wide audience.

A relatively new genre arranges Spanish lyrics to Jamaican dance beats that unite rap, Hip hop and reggae. Hispanics on the growth in the entertainment industry, in Miami alone not including nationwide no one can determine the impact on music for the next big platinum selling artist. Embracing traditional Latin sounds became popular in the Caribbean Islands recently it has reached New York, Miami and the U.S. where there are larger communities of Urban Latin areas. Approximately over 25 years ago rap was taking over the world, now reggaeton is putting the finishing touch with artist such as the diva of reggaeton Ivy Queen, Don Omar, Tego Calderon, Don Chezina, and reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee, tropical urban artist Huey Dunbar and award winning Puerto Rican rapper Vico.C.

Latinos are being represented with music that touches the life of many. The Urban Latin market is staying grounded in ones own culture to captivate all audience. “We are proud and responsible of representing our culture.”

Reggaeton originated in Puerto Rico, “LA ISLA DEL ENCANTO.”
