Emmit Till: the Sacrificial Lamb of the Civil Rights Movement

Emitt Till is considered the "Sacrificial Lamb" of the civil rights movement. He was brutally murdered. the 1955 case was re-opened in 2004, but the guilty, who admitted to the murder, did not see jail time.

Do Black Mothers Exploit Their Sons?

Before the black man was thrust into the walls of prison, he was nurtured in the walls of the womb of the black woman. If we have found a way to instill in our daughters to remain in school and not our sons, something is spiritually amidst in the way we are socializing our black male child.

The Complexities of Interracial Romance

While it's easy for people to stereotype people of other cultures and races, many of these preconceptions can lead people down a precarious romantic path. I hope my own experience can give others a new perspective on mixed-culture romance and relationships.
