What I Thought About Fashion Earlier

Fashion is a word that gives ample scope to explain what is happening in the modern world. It is a kind of movement towards civilized behavior of man kind from the beginning. Fashion has got a lot of versatility embedded in the society as the social system is not related to one kind of people.

The world population is large and composed of people of varied nature with territorial, social, cultural and political differences. The behavior of Eskimos or their living fashion could never be the same as of the Arabians in the deserts. A fashion for a group of people could have developed mainly due to the territorial advantages.

Location demands its fashion

The fashion or approach to their food, clothing, shelter, and socio cultural activities including entertainment should have developed in view of the location, elevation, climate and soil conditions.

Eating fashion depends on availability

Availability of kinds of crops and foods there up on is a major factor that governs the cooking and eating method or behavior. Wheat products, vegetables and fruits are plenty in hill stations, besides meat and milk as food preferences. The people at the plains and sea shore like to eat rice and cereals of many kinds with milk, poultry, meat, fishes and sea foods too.

They wish to make variety of foods from the available raw food materials. Thus, their habits and behavior slowly change with their desire to have varieties and different tastes with regard to food.

Some times, people will be willing to taste different kinds of foods when made available to them with the knowledge about cooking methods.

Climate has a say on clothing fashion

The people at the hill tops experience cold weather and wear coats and suits made of woolen cloths. While people at sea shore do wear minimum cloths as they experience sweating with the hot humid weather. Surprisingly, they wear dresses to cover only the portions below the waist. In addition, women do wear a simple blouse to cover their breasts. Their willingness to shift to other kind of dresses become quite occasional as some festivals and marriage functions are conducted.

The fashion and the approach to fashion dresses has always depended on the climate and weather conditions.

Skin and hair care is also a fashion

The women hill tribes apply butter and ghee to their hairs and twist them to give an appearance like hanging snakes. Their back yard has number of milk animals as their assets. The people in the sea shores use coconut oil for hair styling as there are a number of coconut plantations around.

The village women folk in the vicinity of the forests collect the herbal leaves to make mehandi and apply on the palms and fore hands to bring the artistic tattoos into the fashion. They use turmeric and sandal wood powders as pastes while taking bath: this could bring smoothness to the body and perfume to the ambience.

Fashion is living style

Hence, fashion is a way of bringing a style to the living. It is a craze to adorn women with the available materials and methods in the vicinity. Food and clothing may be a normal fashion that is created and demanded by the availability.

Fashion is mobile and dynamic

However, you cannot underestimate the fashion as an old way of living; one fashion ruling in an area will be admired as new at other places. So, movement of one fashion to the other place depends on the transportation of fashionable goods and knowledge to adopt them. It is faster as much as they are attractive and modern to the consumers in the new area.
