I remember the morning as if it were yesterday. Leaving my piano lesson just before school, I thanked God that I finally got to leave that God-forsaken place. We turned on the radio and were within sight of the school when at around 8:50 the terrible news came on; The World Trade Centers were under attack. I was only in the 4th grade.
First all I could think is, “What are the World Trade Centers?” Later when I watched the terrible events unfold at home at the news I really got a sense of how large this really was. Thousands of people were missing and presumed dead. Terrorists were being blamed from the Al- Queda.
What though are we supposed to believe about what happened on 9/11? There are different theories on this subject ranging from the original 9/11 report to their being bombs planted in the basement. What you really have to ask yourself on this subject is, “What are the testimonies of the people who were there?” and “What do the experts say?” I have looked closely on this subject and have found some answers on the internet. I saw this video on 9/11 and I learned new things from experts and from people that were there. One of its main point is this; it first points out that the World Trade Centers fell at about free fall speed or 9.8 m/ second. Then it poses this question; “How did a building that was falling into itself and clashing into every floor on the way down fall at free fall speed?”
Another movie on 9/11 conspiracy theories is Loose Change which gives you a whole new slant to the playing field. These movies have brought me to question what really went on that fateful September day. I believe that it wasn't just a bunch of terrorists trying to prove a point. There is more to the story. But don't take my word for it, explore the possibilities, you might learn things you never would have.
There are still unanswered questions and no one who is beyond doubt to answer.
