I heard this story from someone several years ago and thought I would share it here.
This was Jenny's first time in the States and was not very familiar with the culture. One day, she was driving down the highway alone. There she was enjoying her drive in country driving to the next state when she saw a car parked at the side of the road.
The driver from the car was waving his hands frantically but no one bothered to stop. Jenny was in a good mood so decided to stop. She got out of the car and approached the other driver and asked if she could help.
The driver said, “My car battery is flat, can you help give me a push and get me up to 80!'
Jenny said, “Sure!”
She got back into her car and so did the other driver. As the other driver waited patiently, he saw Jenny reversing her car for some distance and then suddenly sped forward accelerating as she approached him and before he could react, “Wham!!”
Luckily, neither of them got hurt. What happened was, Jenny was accelerating her car to 80 to give the other car a push.
